3/3/09 – High Intensity Day February 20, 2009 – Bruiser Training Session I began with a brief joint mobility warmup of: Arm screws 45 lb Clubbell Training Circuit: February 14, 2009 – Valentines Day BodyFlow practice (15 minutes) – long arm roll, neck roll 15 lb clubbell practice (10 minutes) – various exercises 1 hour at the dog park Evening Strength Session: All sets performed between 60-80% exertion Repeat 3X, no rest between exercises, 30 seconds rest at end of each circuit [...] QUESTION: hey john thanks so much for your response, as usual very informative… i ordered the flowfit package through the link you sent me… another question, if you don’t mind… i was looking at the prasara bundle of the book, instructional dvd, and 2 dvd set… what do you think ??? thank you for your time ANSWER: Hi Mike, Day 11 – High Intensity Day (12/16/08) Today’s session got squeezed in at the end of the day (it’s 10pm now). For this Friday, I have a fun video to share with you. I think this is a marvelous display of human movement by my coach, Scott Sonnon, the creator of the Circular Strength Training system. I’m sure you’ll agree that this is beautiful, artistic movement – yet the purpose is not to impress others – this is not a show, it’s just a part of Sonnon’s daily personal practice. This clip is from a documentary Scott filmed about Prasara Yoga. I haven’t spoken about yoga much on my blog, but you should know that I practice regularly and use the techniques Scott teaches. Prasara Body-Flow yoga is one of three ‘wings’ in the CST system and it has literally changed the way I train dramatically. Its inclusion in my program has ensured my consistent gains in progress as well as protect myself from injury, among many other things that are beyond this short blog post. Prasara Yoga is like the glue that holds the rest of my training program together. There is so much benefit to be had from practicing Prasara Yoga, but for now, I just want you to enjoy this short video.
I’m going to write this as a somewhat informal review, even though Ageless Mobility is deserving of a thorough and professional review (which it has received several times elsewhere). I’m actually going to tell you a story about myself, and I’ll start in January of 2006 during a deadlifting session at the local gym [...] |
