Upcoming Event: The Pull-Up Training LAUNCH WEEK (Plus Details About New Program)

Update (2/24/2014): The Pull-up Solution is live! Get all the details here: Introducing The Pull-up Solution by John Sifferman.

What you need to know…

1. My first fitness product, which is a pull-up and chin-up training system, will be released to the public very soon. If you’d like an advanced look at the goods, and a chance to get the whole package at a significant discount, then you need get on the Waiting List using the email signup form below ASAP. That way, you’ll have access to the special offer as soon as it goes live to the public.

2. I will be hosting a pull-up training themed week here at the blog in the not-so-distant future to promote and celebrate my product launch, and to provide you with some valuable insider information about getting better at pullups. If that would interest you, then keep an eye on the blog over the coming days.

3. I will be giving away two copies of my new program to one man and one woman on the product’s official Facebook page. Simply “Like” the page to enter the drawing and make sure you keep an eye on it over the next week or so for further updates.

4. If you have a question about pull-up training that you’d like me to cover during the Pull-up Training Launch Week, then please let me know (leave a comment below, email me, post on the Facebook page, etc.).

OK, those are the key points. Here are the details…

I feel like a horrible person. Or, maybe just a horrible blogger. Seriously, things have been a little slow on the blog since the holidays. And when I say a little slow, I mean that I’ve only posted once. Yeah…

So, I’m sorry about that. Truth be told, it’s hard for me to imagine anyone actually being an avid reader of my blog – waiting expectantly for a new post to appear on the site – but I know that at least a couple of you exist out there (love you, Mom and Dad!). And so, with the recent hiatus, I think I’ve got some ‘splaining to do.

You see, I’ve been working feverishly on a semi-secret project lately, and that’s consumed most of my free time, leaving little available for my regular blogging.

You may remember that I posted a survey last year with four product ideas that I was thinking about creating for you guys – after receiving many requests to do so. And after getting your feedback on my ideas, I decided that I was going to focus on creating one of them, specifically, which was codenamed: The Pull-up and Chin-up Coaching System. I announced that just over a year ago here.

Yes. It’s true. I’ve been trying to get this project done for over a year. And truth be told, it’s actually been over two years from idea stage until now. My, how the time flies!

The good news is that the product is done. Version 1.0 has been finished and finalized, and is ready-and-waiting to go for sale. I’m still working on some of the technical aspects of selling a product online (i.e., things I know absolutely nothing about), which seems like a good excuse for some of the delay. Right?

But in all seriousness, I am so happy that this project is finally almost ready to be released. I’ve been working hard and chipping away at it during my free time since early 2012, and I am really proud of the final product. It’s not exactly how I originally envisioned it would be, but I think it’s awesome, and if you’re at-all interested in getting better at pull-ups and chin-ups, then I think you will, too.

So, this blogpost is just an update about what’s been going on behind-the-scenes, and also a little heads-up that a little pull-up and chin-up themed event will be coming soon.

In the not-so-distant future, I will be hosting a pull-up training themed week here on the blog. This will be to both promote my new product and also to provide you with some good information about pull-up training – to help you get your first one, or help you break through a plateau to get your first 10, 20, or more.

Also, and this is very important. There is a waiting list for the product that I setup early last year for anyone who might want to receive an announcement about when it goes for sale. That list is still open for readers of this website. And just between you and me, if you’d like to check out the product before the general public does, and get it for a staggeringly discounted rate, then you might want to add your email to the list. Like…now. Because if all goes well, it’s going for sale very soon. And you won’t believe what kind of special offer I have in store for you. Trust me.

Update 2/20/2014: The Waiting List for the pre-launch special is now closed. If you’d like to get on the public waiting list for the official product launch (next week), then please signup for the main Physical Living newsletter using the form below.

Or, just keep an eye on the blog over the next couple weeks. Or, Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube. I’ll do my best not to utterly bombard you with my promo, but I will be posting some announcements about the product launch in the coming weeks. Just thought you should know.

One other thing, if you’re interested in a chance to win a free copy of my new program, then you can Like the product’s official Facebook page to enter into a random drawing, where one man and one woman will be selected to receive a free copy of the entire system – just because I like ya so much.

Thanks for your continued support over the years. I appreciate you guys, and if this product does well, then maybe I can make a career out of this whole “helping people with fitness on the internet” thing. And hey, if this thing takes off, then I’d love to create some of my other products for you guys, too.

  1. I am 61 years old and have had issues with one of my shoulders due to an old injury. Will this training program be adaptable to someone like me?

    1. Hi Terry,

Great question. The short answer is that, yes, my program was created to address specific issues exactly like that, and that’s one of the main aspects that differentiates my program from the rest. It’s a health-FIRST fitness program by a health-first fitness coach. So, as long as your doctor has cleared you for exercise, and your pain – while performing exercise – does not exceed a three, on a scale of one to ten (10 being the worst pain you’ve ever felt, and 1 being no discomfort whatsoever), then yes, you can use my program. I know that nobody starts an exercise program with a clean slate. We all have postural/structural issues to deal with, to one degree or another, and I’ve tried to address that as best I can all throughout the program materials so that anyone who is healthy enough to exercise can get better pull-up training results.

Once my new product’s website goes live, you’ll be able to see that I actually answered that question in the Frequently Asked Questions section because I figured it would be a common one. And so, once that goes live, you can take a closer look at how my program will specifically address your unique needs.

Any more questions, just let me know – happy to help!

      John

  2. This sounds great. I have always wanted to be able to do a pull-up. While I have no injuries I am extremely weak as well as a woman in my 50s. I can’t even get pull myself up at all, not even an inch! Is there help for me?

    1. Hi Reeze,

If you can support some of your bodyweight while hanging from the bar, then you are fit enough to begin using my program. I’ve created it to accommodate beginners and even ultra-beginners alike.

  3. I’m 55, exercise 5 days a week and can do 10 pull ups…but I’ve hit a plateau. How do I get over the hump as I’d like to be able to do 25 pull ups and break my current gym record?

Also I am not on Facebook, can you enter me in your contest.

    1. Hi Bob,

Great question. A lot of people struggle with a pull-up training plateau at some point or another. Stay tuned for some help. And I’ll put you on the list for the contest, for sure.

  4. Thank you for the response. What does that mean support some of my body weight? I have a pull-up bar at home. One of the ones that hang in my door way. I can hang on it with my feet off the floor for 10 or more seconds at a time. Is that what you mean?

    1. Yep. If you can already hang from the bar for 10+ seconds, then you’re plenty strong enough to start my upcoming program. More info coming soon!

  5. Hi John. Looking forward to learning more. Put a question on the Facebook page, but it was essentially the same as Terry’s (though lower back). I’ve been receiving your great newsletter for awhile, keep up the wonderful work!

    1. As long as you have a doctor’s clearance to exercise and pull-up training doesn’t cause pain beyond a 3 (on a scale of 1-10, 1 being no pain at all and 10 being the worst pain you’ve ever felt), then YES, you can use my program. More info coming on this topic in a Q+A later today…

  6. Hi John. Never thought I wanted or needed a pull-up program. Got it now anyways during the launch sale as a way to sincerely thank you for all the years of providing your awesome service … for free!
    Keep up the wonderful work!
(And now let’s go check out what I just bought into … :)

  8. John,

Very psyched to try your program, and I think I’ll be an interesting test case. Will send you a link to my pull up weblog when I start, which will be after the visit from my CMA teacher in early April. Best wishes for the program, it seems like a lot of people have signed up. Maybe we can all make this ‘the summer of the pull-up’.

    1. Thanks, William! The launch was a big success, and I’m very happy with the response. Please do keep me posted on your progress – would love to hear how it goes for you.
