I am dripping in sweat as I type this. Having just resumed normal breathing, and returned my heart rate to normal, I am fatigued, yet energized at the same time. My wedding band is fitting tightly around my swollen finger, and my forearms, in the words of Ahhhh-nold are “Way pumped!”
I just finished a brief moderate intensity session with the 45 lb clubbell – the “Bruiser.” Here’s what it looked like…
Repeat 10X, no rest between grip switches, up to 30 seconds rest between sets. All exercises are two-handed and performed in succession one after the other.
Rock-it, Swing, Clean to order, Clean to shoulder park and into a full squat, Clockwork squat, Arm cast, Front swipe (switch grips and repeat). That’s 7 exercises performed for 2 repetitions each set – for 10 sets. 140 repetitions in total. This was completed in just under 14 minutes (nearly half the time I last attempted this session a week ago). That’s 10 reps a minute, meaning I’m fairly close to my goal of 12 reps/ minute before I move on.
I am tired, used – but I feel invigorated at the same time. It’s an interesting feeling that I never had until I switched to Circular Strength Training. There’s something about it that just fires me up, and makes me feel like I can do anything.
I know I haven’t kept up with my training journal like I should have, it’s been too much of a task lately. I will work to continue updates about my training. Just know that although my training journal has been inconsistent at best, the training has continued and progressed as it should be, and I am in the best shape of my life today.
Tonight is dinner, shower, and watching the play Charley’s Aunt with my wife.
Have a great weekend.
