That was a piece of advice I got from a trusted friend not too long ago. He’s the kind of guy who doesn’t beat around the bush or pull any punches. He says what he means and calls it like he sees it. A man’s man.
And now that I think about it, this is some of the best advice I’ve ever received. And I want to pass that advice on to you.
Make things happen.
Because you can. You have the capacity, the ability, the strength, and the willpower to do it. You just need to choose to do it. Your own free will is the only thing that’s stopping you.
So, stop giving in and giving up and make that choice right now. And then do what you’ve got to do. And do it today. Right now, even. Don’t leave this page until you’ve made the choice to do what you’ve known you need to, and what, deep down inside, you’ve wanted to do. And if you have no other choice than to wait until tonight, tomorrow, or next week, then don’t leave until you have a plan that you’re absolutely sure you can stick with – and a way to make sure you actually follow through. Give yourself a reminder. Call someone you trust to become accountable to your decision. Make yourself an offer you can’t refuse. Whatever it takes.
So, start that new habit or quit that old one. Try that exercise that’s always scared you. Hire that coach you really need. Quit that addiction. Do what has to be done. Stop holding yourself back. And don’t wait for everything to be perfect because it never will be. Be the kind of person who makes things happen. Just get it done, and do it now.
Never forget: This very moment, we can change our lives. There never was a moment, and never will be, when we are without power to change our destiny. Steven Pressfield

Very inspiring post. “Make Things Happen” may sound easy but you really need to put your foot down to make things happen.
