The Complete Shake Weight Review

All of my long-time readers know that I only fully endorse training products that I completely believe in. In an industry where shady marketing and scam products run rampant, it’s of paramount importance that people get clear direction regarding what fitness equipment to invest in. You can count on me to call it like I see it.

Allow me to introduce you to what may change the face of the entire fitness industry. This product has been featured on highly-esteemed and prestigious television shows such as: The Ellen Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Saturday Night Live, The Jay Leno Show, and South Park. It’s been used by the New York Jets, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, Emma Stone, Chuck Liddell (pro MMA fighter), and Charles Barkley (pro basketball player) among others.

Only a product that guarantee’s “firm and fabulous arms and shoulders” in just six minutes a day could receive so much attention. That’s right folks! Introducing the one – the only – Shake Weight fitness training equipment…gadget…tool…thingy.

Dwayne Johnson, sometimes known as “THE ROCK” in certain underground sub-cultures has been quoted ON RECORD saying “there’s something inappropriately interesting about the motion… And it’s by your face.”

With such a precise analysis and the resulting spike in sales from celebrity exposure, there’s no question in my mind that someone needed to review this product.

Get ready to rock…errr… SHAKE. YOUR. WORLD.

  1. Is it April 1st already?

  2. I saw this in the store with my kids and they laughed. I guess they agreed with The Rock. If it can get sedentary people moving then it has some value. Thanks!

    • If it does get them moving, hopefully they will also realize there are better (and more fun) options out there.

  3. This was sort of the “ultimate anti-infomercial”. I’ll bet if there were two TVs on in a room, and someone ran this clip on one TV and the official “Shake Weight” infomercial (there HAS to be one, right?) on the 2nd TV at the same time, the two would annihilate each other in a cataclysmic flash of light and heat that left a 100 yard wide crater where the TVs used to be. Oh, and everyone exposed to the blast would be mildly retarded for 30 minutes.

And thank you for not recording this in a spandex leotard.

    • Believe me, the spandex was tempting. And to reveal a professional secret… there may be a spandex leotard announcement in the future. That’s all I’m saying.

  4. Hi John,
    Excellent review as always :)
    I laughed and laughed.
    Looking forward to the Spandex…
Maybe you should review some Tri-Suits or those really gross looking Bike -Tards :) I REFUSE to wear them…:)

  5. I AM a certified Shake Weight Instructor, and I am deeply offended, sir. Actually, I nearly spit my lunch out laughing so hard, particularly at the CST references as applied to shake weight. Thanks for brightening my Monday!

  6. Jeremiah Johnson

there is a men’s version out there. Why are you reviewing a womens version.
I have used the weight and its a good change in pace in workout.
    The DVD is for women.
The mens version shows very good exercises and gives you a good workout.

The mens version is 5 lb weight.
there is 3 exercises with mens version.
    Chest/triceps/biceps.
I bought it for 14 bucks and I have been using for 2 weeks and I can see a difference.

    Pros – easy to use
    -cheap
    -3 exercises
    – good change in workout
    – 6 minutes a day
    – will tone your arms/chest/shoulders
    – no mirror on MENS version
    – use the MENS version for 2 months and I bet you see a difference.
    – if used correctly you will not get injured
    – you keep in locked position
